configure.in and build/*.m4 have to be updated first to latest autoconf (ugh)

aclocal.m4 not fully updated.  Could be a problem???

Should make -static behave as expected

- extented Referral chasing (loop detection, hop limit, Rebind)
- support for Server Controls
- fixed many bugs and memory leaks

Changes will be overwritten upon next autoconf/libtool update.

for executable files, not just libraries/modules. Also, the AIX linker
hardcodes -L paths by default; override this to prevent build paths from
appearing in distributed binaries.

mkdep.aix - a wrapper for AIX cc that sends dependency info to stdout so
that the standard mkdep script can operate.
